Biographical / Historical

Harry Laity Hudson worked in Uganda as Education Officer, Eastern Province, 1946-1947 and Mbale District, 1947-1949 (including a period as Provincial Education Officer, Eastern Province), and as Provincial Education Officer, Northern Province, 1950-1954 and Buganda, 1954-1959 (later serving as Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Education, His Highness the Kabaka's Government). He served in Nyasaland as Deputy Director of Education, 1959-1961 and Chief Education Officer, 1961-1964.
