Biographical / Historical

Sydney H. Clague-Smith worked in Tanganyika as Principal, Teacher Training School, Western Province (Moravian Mission), also Education Secretary of the Mission, 1937-1943. He was Education Secretary for Moravian educational work in the Southern Highlands, 1940-1943 and Honorary Secretary of the Education Committee of the Tanganyika Missionary Council, 1942-1952. He served as Secretary to the Kinampanda Alliance Teacher Training Centre, Rungwe, 1947-1952 and Education Secretary General to the Non-Roman Missions of Tanganyika, 1953-1962.
