Appeals and Fundraising Committees, 1964-1993
The Appeals Committee started work on 1 January 1975 and consisted of: the Home Division Director (Chairman), the Director, the Deputy Director, the Finance Director, the Appeals Manager, a representative of the Communications Division (initially Peter Stalker) and a representative of the Overseas Aid Division (initially Adrian Moyes).
It was to meet in alternate months and its terms of reference were to review and coordinate appeals, to assist and monitor the work of the Appeals Manager, to consider appeals budgets and to monitor appeals and fundraising performance.
The Fundraising Committee held its first informal meeting on 7 Dec 1989. It was stood down as part of governance reforms in 1993.
