This was a joint committee with the Royal Statistical Society, Genetical Society and the British branch of the Biometric Society. Walter Bodmer was Chairman and Royal Society representative on the Committee, and had been a student of Fisher's at Cambridge. He was also Chairman of the Sir Ronald Fisher Memorial Fund.

The committee organised the Sir Ronald Fisher Centenary Celebrations, held in Cambridge and London.
