'Et doibt on scavoir que toute maniere darpentaige.'

  6. (fol. 143). Deeds relating to the Prior and Convent of Bonshommes at La Haye near Angers, 1413-1496, largely about their rights over the river: in French.

Custodial History

On (fols. 1-5) are the finely emblazoned arms of an owner of the book (early 16th cent.?: Azure, a saltire between four eaglets displayed or) and of his connexions by marriage. On fol. 6r is 'C. Raymbauld' (c. 1700?). The volume bears Carte's armorial bookplate.

Physical Facet

Binding: On parchment : with coloured arms, rubrics, etc., in the original binding (boards covered with stamped leather), clasps partly gone.
