Letters received by R.C. Overton in England from former colleagues and friends in West Africa, 1963-1975. They include letters from several chiefs such as the Fon of Fontem.
Miscellaneous papers of R.C. Overton including the invoice for his kit issued in January 1950, a letter concerning the census in Nkambe Division in 1953, 'Development of Local Government in Mamfe Division', 1959, and letters from Chief Fonge, 1960, and the Fon of Fontem, 1962.
Letters (typed transcripts) from Susan Overton nÉe Spurr to her parents describing her voyage to West Africa and life there, Oct 1955-Feb 1956, with one letter to her parents in law, May 1959. With letters received by Susan Spurr while working as Secretary to the Commissioner of the Cameroons, Nov 1955-Jul 1956, including from Martha Njie, one of her Girl Guides.
'The Mamfe Road' - Susan Overton's memoir in three volumes, 2011, 2015 and 2016, of her experiences in Nigeria and the Southern Cameroons from 1955 to 1962, including transcriptions of R.C. Overton's letters, scanned photographs and maps.
