Notebooks, 1933-1976

  • How to

When working in a library Pollard would usually carry a notebook and enter notes consecutively, irrespective of subject. One pre-war notebook (MS. Pollard 222) has survived. The main series starts towards the end of 1959, after he had retired from the Board of Trade, and continues (with a few gaps) to the end of his life. The notebooks have been arranged chronologically, and the main topics covered have been noted in the subject index (MS. Pollard 425).
