- (fols. 167-90) 17th century transcripts of memoirs of the Earl of Manchester, taken from a manuscript in his own hand, covering proceedings in the Long Parliament up to the impeachment of Strafford, November 1640. There are two further copies in the British Library, Add. MS. 15567, f. 30 ff. and Add. MS. 35838, f.163 (which includes the trial of Strafford).
- (fols. 196-199) copies of letters from Prince Rupert, with one from Prince Maurice, 1644-5, 1650, mainly to Robert Devereux, Earl of Essex, Jan.-Feb. 1645, relating to the Uxbridge Treaty; part of a letter from General Goring, Aug. 1651; letter from Charles Lewis, Elector Palatine, to Mr. Harington, The Hague, June 1644; memorial by Charles Lewis for Sir Richard Cave, Whitehall, 5 July 1641
