Most of the correspondence consists of photocopies of letters from Chandler to Paul Brooks, Hardwick Moseley and Dale Warren, with a few original letters from them to Chandler. The photocopies were made for Dorothy Gardiner. Also included are a few letters from Chandler's 'Reading Files', and carbon copies of letters to Houghton Mifflin. At (fols. 137-140) are two draft royalty contracts for The Long Good-Bye, 1953.
