The correspondence largely consists of letters from Hamish ('Jamie') Hamilton and Roger Machell to Chandler, with photocopies of his replies and a few transcripts made for Dorothy Gardiner. Also included are a few letters from Chandler and drafts of letters by him, letters from 'Reading Files' and extracts from correspondence made by S.S. Tyler.
