The poems include (fols. 161-203) two collections of verse made by Chandler, 1919-1920, n.d., (fols. 198-203) given to his wife, Cissy. Most of the poems are unpublished, although a few were printed in the Westminster Gazette. The poems are arranged alphabetically by title, or by first line in the case of untitled poems. Fols. 206-207 are not in Chandler's hand, but are likely to be notes made by Cissy Chandler.

Also includes (among others):

  1. (fols. 1-7) 'A Gentleman of Leisure Addresses the Venus Anadyomene.' n.d.
  2. (fols. 8-9) 'An Ode in the Form of the Limerick to Alastair Carmichael, Esq. of Solana Beach, California,' (Chandler's secretary's cat). n.d.
  3. (fols. 11-13) 'Art.' 11 Apr 1921.
  4. (fols. 36-57) 'Kashinmor the Elephant.' n.d.
  5. (fols. 62-66) 'Lines to a Lady with a Split Infinitive'. n.d.
  6. (fols. 116-119) 'The Farewell Sonnets'. 1957.
  7. (fols. 120-124) 'To the One I Love,' 'To Jean,' 'To Australia.' 1957.
  8. (fols. 160) brief notes concerning 'Lucky' Luciano. c.1958.
