Vancouver Centennial Peace and Disarmament Symposium, Vancouver, Canada, 24-26 Apr. 1986
Sub-Series
It was intended that a document, the 'Vancouver Proposals', should emerge from the symposium, with broad support from the participants, setting out measures to halt the arms race, prevent nuclear war and encourage international peace. Hodgkin, Sean McBride and Alfonso Garcia-Robles (who later withdrew) were asked to draft the document.
