This material, listed in the CSAC catalogue as section VII, 'Experimental observations and working papers', was left in the Department of Anatomy at Oxford in 1973 when the main tranche of papers were deposited in the Bodleian. In 1984 Professor B. Donovan and Dr. P. MacKinnon sorted through the material, and selected a proportion for preservation in the Bodleian. This material comprises scientific correspondence, discussion and outlines of work in progress and work planned, draft papers, reference materials, colour photographs and graphic tracings. The slides were left in the Department of Anatomy and the remaining material was destroyed. The following list was compiled by A.V. Simcock of the Museum of the History of Science.
