Hodgkin arrived in India on 20 March, lecturing the next day at the National Physical Laboratory, Delhi. She was one of three speakers at the Radhakrishnan symposium, organised to commemorate the life and ideas of the former President of India. On March 25th she lectured in Bangalore on 'Recent discussions within the Pugwash movement on disarmament', returning to England the next day.
