Hodgkin attended a meeting of the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina at Halle, where she was the Royal Society's official representative. This was followed by a colloquium entitled 'Röntgenkristallstrukturanalyse', held in Berlin in honour of the 60th birthday of K. Boll-Dornberger, where Hodgkin gave a paper on 'Recent developments and results in X-ray analysis'.
