Biographical / Historical

John Jabez Edwin Mayall was born in England in 1813. He started his career in Philadelphia, where he opened a daguerreotype portrait studio in the early 1840s. He returned to England in 1847, photographing Queen Victoria and her family throughout the 1860s.
