Biographical / Historical

George Shaw Lefevre, later Baron Eversley, was a British Liberal Party politician and Member of Parliament for Reading from 1863-1885. He photographed Sevastopol shortly after the Russian retreat from the city during the Crimean War of 1853-1856.
