Biographical / Historical

William Carrick opened a photographic studio in St. Petersburg. He became known for capturing photographs of Russian life.

Anselm Schmitz was an early pioneer of photography in Germany.

Axel Lindahl is best known for his photography of Norway, particularly landscapes. He had his own photographic studio in Uddevalla but moved his business to Gothenburg shortly after.

Little is known about C. Hertel.
