Biographical / Historical

The No. 12 Committee initially met weekly to discuss current events, media handling, and matters of policy. The meetings were chaired by the Chief Whip and attended by the Lord President, Lord Privy Seal, Party Chairman, Deputy Chief Whip, some MPs and some Central Office staff. In 1995, the Committee was meeting on an almost daily basis.
