Biographical / Historical
The International Co-operation Year was a worldwide campaign to mark the twentieth anniversary of the United Nations. It was a twelve-month educational campaign which aimed 'To show the extent to which nations are already working together internationally' and 'To stimulate more links between British people and those of other countries'.
The UK Executive Committee oversaw arrangements to mark the year in the UK, with smaller regional committees responsible for co-ordinating local activities.
