John Guthrie took over the post of Head of the International Office in September 1992. Following the major restructuring of the Party organisation in 1993, the International Office was placed under the remit of the Campaigning Department and John Guthrie was appointed European Election Co-ordinator, as well as Head of the International Office and Head of the Overseas and Defence Section of CRD. He stepped down as Head of the International Office in August 1994.
