Microfilm contains letters from William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham, and his wife Hester, 1765-1771, 1772-1783, with drafts and copies of some replies from Shelburne. Also includes letters from Pierre Etienne Dumont, 1785-1801, concerning European affairs, especially the French Revolution and his contacts with Mirabeau, with a copy of a letter from Lord Shelburne to Dumont, 1792, and typed transcripts of some of the letters. Additionally contains letters from Henry, Lord Holland, 1760-1783, concerning personal and national affairs, with letters from John Calcraft to Lord Shelburne, 1763 and letters from Samuel Garbett, Birmingham merchant and iron-founder, 1766-1785, 1786-1789, 1790-1792, 1792-1802.
