Receipts of the Exchequer, recording receipts paid into the Exchequer from various sources, in Latin, together with a certificate book of receipts and payments, 1616-23
The receipts of the Exchequer are arranged chronologically, each entry being under a county or diocese heading, or occasionally under England (Anglia) for national taxes or levies.
A certificate book of receipts and payments, 1621-3, is bound into the volume. This gives weekly entries with names and sums of money only, with the total sum of money remaining in the Exchequer of Receipt at the end of each week. The volume ends with a memorandum of the sum remaining in the Exchequer of Receipt on Sir William Herrick's departure from office, 28 Nov. 1623.
