These texts were written by Hobhouse in the 1920s, in preparation of an autobiographical work. They are mainly described by her as 'original' or 'rough' drafts and draw on her notes and letters from the time which are often inserted. The pages are numbered in each folder, although some are missing from the sequence. They were arranged by her in brown wrappers which have been retained. They have been arranged in general chronological order according to their labels.
