Files of emergencies bulletins and other materials relating to emergencies, including press cuttings, correspondence, reports, appeals materials, summaries and grants information. It is thought that these files were collated by the Information Department as reference resources.

Arrangement
The emergencies files have been arranged according to the year that the emergency is generally considered to have started. Oxfam could often be involved in funding recovery work for several years following the initial emergency. Some files will also contain background material about a country or area which was produced prior to the emergency taking place.
