Sixteen case notebooks, recording cases heard in both the Admiralty and various ecclesiastical courts (Consistory courts, Prerogative Court of Canterbury, and in the Court of Arches). There is a good deal of overlapping in date, and some apparent gaps: some cases do not seem to have been set down in strict chronological order, and some cases have been included in more than one volume, probably by different persons.

Dep. Monk Bretton 1-3 contain both Admiralty and ecclesiastical courts cases; Dep. Monk Bretton 4-12 appear to be exclusively Admiralty, and Dep. Monk Bretton 13-16 exclusively ecclesiastical.
