Folder 1: Correspondence and other papers relating to the honorary M.A. award ceremony, including address by the Public Orator (Latin original, translation), guest list; congratulation messages; media enquiries, photographs and newspaper cuttings; 1972-1973. Also includes a copy of the examination paper Honour School of Natural Science, Final Examination, Physiological Sciences VI, Respiration, 23 June 1973, quoting FitzGerald's paper Changes in the breathing and the blood at various high altitudes for comment.
Folder 2: Correspondence relating to (honorary) memberships conferred to FitzGerald: Osler Medical Society, Middle Common Room of Lady Margaret Hall, Physiological Society [Britain], Oxford Association of University Women, 1971-1973. Also includes correspondence relating to membership in the American Physiological Society, 1914-1964.
