- Folder 1: Typescript 'A Dictionary of Traditional Nursery Rhymes' with extensive manuscript comments and additions, n.d. [c.1948]
- Folder 2: [Early] drafts and notes, including notes on the arrangement of nursery rhymes, notes on illustrations, reading lists/bibliographical notes, n.d. [c.1946-1950].
- Folder 3: Correspondence relating to the early stages of the Nursery Rhyme book project, c.1946-1948; contract of publication, 1949, and replacement clause for second edition, 2003; correspondence with the Royal Household relating to the presentation of a copy of The Oxford Dictionary of Nursery Rhymes to Princess Elizabeth, c.1951-1954. Also includes publicity material (leaflet/order form, Clarendon Press books catalogue Autumn 1951), and press cuttings of reviews, 1951.
