Meadows was first approached by the Education Officer of the Commonwealth Institute to both document and take part in a youth programme project held in Malta - a party of art, dance, music and drama of the Commonwealth in Mar-Apr 1975. In 1978 Meadows also undertook work as a photographer for the 1978 Commonwealth Games Cultural Festival, Edmonton, Canada. Material for this series comprises papers and photographic material from these events such as prints, contact sheets, negatives, oversize negatives and colour slides.
