Correspondence, 1983-1989
Correspondence between Howe and various others during his time as Foreign Secretary. The majority of the correspondence is semi-official, with many letters asking Howe for his autograph, and many others relating to various dinners and events that Howe either held or was invited to. Many of the letters received by Howe have been annotated by himself and others (mostly his secretaries) discussing the contents of the letters and how to reply. The final file, MS. Howe dep. 204 contains copies of offical state correspondence.
