- Folder 1: ‘Playhouse lectures’: Correspondence and other papers, 1957-1970, relating to lectures given by Edgar Wind at The Playhouse; topics including the arrangements and facilities at the theatre, requests of students and non-members of the university wishing to attend, newspaper articles, the impact of Edgar Wind's modern art lectures; correspondents including the Keeper of the Ashmolean Museum, the Secretary of the Taylor Institution, the Oxford Playhouse, the University Registry, the Secretary of the Faculties, Margaret Wind, Josephine Crane. Also includes papers relating to the history of the Oxford Playhouse, later notes by Margaret Wind, and her correspondence with, and relating to, the Playhouse and the Playhouse Appeal, 1991-1996. - Folder 2: ‘Oxford lectures’: Correspondence and other papers, 1952-1964, concerning lectures by Edgar Wind and others, including Edgar Wind's inaugural lecture as Professor of the History of Art ('The Fallacy of Pure Art’, 1957), his regular university lectures, talks at student societies, and guest lectures organised by Edgar Wind and Jean Seznec; correspondents including A.H. Smith, C.H. Roberts, Eduard Fraenkel, John Sparrow, Maurice Bowra, Ernest Jacob, John Russell, Martin Kramer, Colin Hardie, Bernard Ashmole, A.L. Goodhart A.F. Madden, Christine Morrison. Also includes lecture lists, printed notices and programmes for lectures, related press cuttings and articles; programme and other papers relating to Encaenia 1956. [WIND I, 15, ii; WIND 17]
- Folder 3: ‘Slade Professors and lectures, 1956/6-67/8': Edgar Wind’s correspondence and other papers, 1956-1970, concerning the Slade Professorship of Fine Art; correspondents including John Pope-Hennessy, Douglas Cooper, John Summerson, Eric Newton, George Zarnecki, Anthony Blunt, Quentin Bell, Lesley Martin, David Piper, Meyer Schapiro, Francis Watson, Jonathan Brown, Millard Meiss.
