Monks Wood Experimental Station and Biological Records Centre.
The Nature Conservancy opened the Monks Wood Experimental Station in Oct 1963. The following year the Biological Records Centre was established at the Station, under F.H. Perring, though it was not fully integrated into the Nature Conservancy for three years. The Centre was involved with the International Biological Programme and other international projects.
