Nicholson's itinerary took in Zurich, Bern, Basel, Morges, Lausanne and Geneva. He delivered a number of lectures, for example on 'The Scientific Basis of Care of the Environment', chiefly to the Swiss-British Society in different cities. In Morges he held discussions at the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources.
