Tour of the USA and Canada, 24 Apr-22 May 1959, 1959
The trip, which was financed by the Nature Conservancy, included numerous meetings with conservationists and academics at institutions such as the Massachusetts Audubon Society (Boston), Yale University, the Conservation Foundation (New York), the Wildlife Management Institute (Washington DC), US National Park Service (Washington) and the University of British Columbia. Nicholson gave talks about nature conservation in Britain, for example at the University of Louisville (7 May) and at the University of Berkeley (Ca) (13 May), and also visited some National Parks and field stations. There were also engagements in San Francisco and Ottawa.
