This series includes a small amount of documentation of Nicholson's role in the preparations for the Festival of Britain in 1951, but considerably more with respect to Festival anniversary events and history. The remainder of the section consists of correspondence and papers on general business of the Lord President's office, a few papers relating to the Advisory Council on Scientific Policy.
