- typed copy of field notes from observations at various nests of the Vervain Hummingbird Mellisuga minima during the Jamaica visit of 1970-1971
- observations made by David, Elizabeth and Peter Lack
- handwritten first draft of a proposed note on these observations (not taken forward)
- letter to Peter Lack from Mrs. MacNiven recording hatching and fledging dates from a nest of the Atilliean Crested Hummingbird on Monserrat, found shortly before Peter left the island in August 1973
- carbon copy of typescript 'Transients in Jamaica, 1970-1971' by David, Elizabeth, Peter and Andrew Lack, detailing the miscellaneous records of land birds seen while David and his family were living in Jamaica, 1970-1971, and which may have been published in the Gosse Bird Club Bulletin in late 1971
