Comprises:

  1. Collection of 'Personal Reminiscences of John Hungerford Pollen 1820-1902' containing accounts of John Hungerford Pollen written by his friends in 1910-1911 for Anne Pollen's biography of her father (published 1912). Some entries written in autograph hand, with some typescript transcripts. Includes entries by: Revd S. Andrews (St Mary of the Angels, Bayswater); Maria Hungerford Pollen (his widow); Margaret Hungerford Pollen (his younger daughter), detailing transcription on John Hungerford Pollen's grave; Clement Hungerford Pollen (his seventh son); Madeleine La Primaudaye (his sister-in-law), a nun of the Sacred Heart, Roehampton; Henry Sebastian Bowden (John Hungerford Pollen’s best man, and later an Oratorian priest); Mrs William Holman Hunt; William Holman Hunt [dictated, as he was by then blind]; Lady Ritchie (Anne, daughter of William Makepeace Thackeray); Sir George Birdwood; Revd A. Millar; Wilfrid Scawen Blunt; Sister Mary Judith of Our Lady of Sion, Bayswater; General Lord Ralph Kerr [printed]; and Charlotte Leslie.
  2. Notebook of press cuttings of reviews of Anne Pollen's biography of her father John Hungerford Pollen, 1912. Also contained [loose, now in separate folder]: typescript copy of verses by Charles John La Primaudaye upon the death of his wife, 1858; various letters, many in original envelopes, regarding the biography, 1912-1914.
  3. Handmade booklet of accomplished designs for panel and stained glass windows by John Hungerford Pollen [post 1902]. Contains photographs, some painted over.
  4. Printout of notes by Louis Jebb on John Hungerford Pollen, 'Timeline of life of JH Pollen', 2017.
