The large format sketchbooks measure 262mm x 190mm (48 pages per volume); the medium format sketchbooks measure 177mm x 127mm (60 pages per volume); and the small format sketchbooks measure 128mm x 87mm (60 pages per volume). The sketchbooks were housed in a tin trunk, painted black with a painted direction/address in yellow paint of 'Mrs John Hungerford Pollen [Lansdowne Crescent ?]' [not retained].
