These reports, sent at roughly fortnightly intervals, are concerned primarily with the state of tension in Ashanti, giving detailed information about acts of violence and other occurrences. They deal also with the formation in 1954 of the National Liberation Movement and its growth; the cocoa price controversy; and problems of labour and local government.
