Fols. 1-37: Correspondence with Sir James Currie, of the Empire Cotton Growing Corporation, about his experience of the administration in the Sudan and Howell's views, together with a case presented to the Foreign Office by the Corporation for insisting on wide experience of tropical crops in the recruitment and training of agricultural officers for the Sudan, with related papers and a copy of the paper read by Currie to the Manchester Geographical Association in November 1934.
