A copy of the 1620 ('Orleans') edition of Thuanus's Historiac suitemporis and Commentarii de Vita sua, interleaved, with collations (stated to be by Thomas Carte) of five printed editions (P, D, d, o, f) and copies of some notes; and with the vernacular forms of names of places and persons which occur in the Latin original, entered in red ink. The collations almost cease after bk. lxxx.

The old and cracked binding is formed out of parchment leases.

These were made for, and used in the preparation of, Samuel Buckley's edition of the Latin history (Lond., 1733, folio, 7 vols.).

The original five volumes are here bound in eight, which begin respectively with bks. i, xiii, xxvii, xliv, lviii, lxxxi, xcvii, but the collations almost cease after bk. lxxx.
