Parts of a verse-translation of the Psalms, written in about 1747-1750
Parts of a verse-translation of the Psalms, containing x. 12-xlix, li-civ. 3, in perturbed order. The version of Ps. xxix. 6 will probably suffice to distinguish it from other translations:-- 'Ev'n Lebanon and Sirion too | are hurri'd far away, | and skip and bound like youthful calves, | or unicorns at play.' The dates 1746/7, 1748, 1750, occur at fols. 25v, 46, 8iv, and the name of 'E. Jackson', who may be the author and writer, on fol. 95v.
