List of English Sermons to be found in the Bodleian Library, written in about 1700-1706 at Oxford by J. Crabb
File
MS. Bodl. 657
Held at the Weston Library
Two lists of English Sermons to be found in the Bodleian Library, arranged according to the chapter of the Bible commented on. It is the first draft of the work, made in about 1700-1706.
As comparatively few early sermons are to be found, the work was probably intended to supplement and continue John Verneuil's Index Interpretum (Oxf. 1635).
The author is known from entries in old catalogues to be 'Mr [Joseph] Crabb' (under-librarian of the Bodleian, who died in July 1712).
