'Old Theatrical costumes', French crayon drawings of costumes, chiefly of jesters or grotesques, with a few of Roman characters. These are obviously designs, in some cases, as French notes show, carried out.

A note of about 1850 by F. W. Fairholt, who no doubt supplied the titlepage, and owned the volume, is at fol. 2.
