An intimate record by mrs. Stanley, wife of Edward Stanley, Bishop of Norwich, of the early development of her children Owen, Mary, Arthur Penrhyn (born 1815), Charles and Catherine, from 1820 to 1830 at Alderley.
Their changes of character and temperament, and even heights are noticed, in a journal of home life. Fols. 37-89 are blank. A volume of similar records from 1812-20 is in the possession of Miss Jane Adeane at Llanfawr, Holyhead.
