  1. (fol. 1). Life of the author, and account of the Monumenta, by R. C. H. (19th cent.), with Aubrey's List of his MSS. 'deposited with Mr. Rob. Hooke at Gresham College, Aug. 11, 1690' (fol. 13);
  2. (fol. 13). Monumenta, part 1, 'Templa Druidum', dealing with Druids and Druidical temples, especially Avebury (fol. 31) and Stonehenge (fols. 57, 81), with plans of each: there are letters from Dr. Robert Toope, Dec. 1, 1685 (fol. 14, cf. 45), bp. T. Tanner, July 13, 1693 (fol. 18), Henry Vaughan, Oct. 9, 1694 (fol. 112), and prof. James Garden (five), 1692-1695 (fol. 114): and plans of Stanton Drew (fol. 54), the Rollright Stones (fol. 54v), and other monuments;
  3. (fol. 137). Monumenta, part 2, dealing with camps, Roman towns, and walls, etc., 1668, with many plans, and at fol. 250 a map of South England in Roman times (1668): at fol. 258 is a letter from Anthony Henley, Sept. 19 (abt. 1670), and at fols. 265, 267 are notes on Pits and old Horns.

Copies of Latin inscriptions found in Great Britain occur at fols. 19, 219, 223 and 247.
