This section consists of six letter-books of Sir John Harris written when he was in Baringa in the Congo, from 1902 to 1905, another letter-book from the Congo containing a report on conditions on cocoa plantations there made to Messrs. J. S. Fry and Co. Bristol, and an article on the Slave written at Benguella, Angola, another on Slavery in Portuguese Colonies, a typescript of the report on cocoa plantations, illustrated with photographs, and a cheque-book.
