Extracts from records, mainly relating to crown revenue and the defence of the realm, including:
- (fols. 19-29) abstracts of accounts of the treasurers at war in the reigns of Henry VIII and Elizabeth
- (fols. 30-1) notes by Bankes on scutage and knight service
- (fols. 128-37) extracts in the hand of Sir John Borough, possibly to be used as precedents in the Ship Money dispute, with a few miscellaneous documents, including (fols. 40-1) papers relating to a dispute between the society of coal merchants and the woodmongers, 1639.
