Territorial files, 1888, 1926-1965
This part of the collection (G518-G811) is a continuation of the territorial section described in the two former guides to the Anti-Slavery Papers. With only slight variations, caused by the increase in the number of subjects in which the Society was interested, the order followed is the same as that in the two previous lists. The main sections are headed Commonwealth, Africa, America, British Central America and the West Indies, Asia and the Far East, Australia and Australasia, and the Middle East, followed by Other Papers arranged according to subject and a section on the United Nations Organisation and other associations.
Each file is numbered and, if the papers were found loose in the file, they have been arranged in chronological order, if fixed in the file they have been left in the order in which the staff of the Society filed them, whether in reverse chronological order or a roughly alphabetical order.
