School register records, written in 1689-1771 at Murano, now part of Venice
The original 'Matricola per registrare di tempo in tempo li capitoli', belonging to the 'Scola del' santissimo Croceffisso della Prouidenza eretta nel chiostro di S. Pietro Martire di Murano', founded in 1689. The entries extend from 1689 to 1771, and chiefly consist of ordinances, many of which are followed by attesting signatures. Fols. 32-end are paper, and 37-56 blank: in 1723 the school was turned into a 'Sollevo.'.
The 19th cent. bookplate bears a complicated coat of which the dexter chief division is, or a bend vairé argent and azure coticed gules: beneath is 'S. C. F. A. M.', which may possibly refer to the school.
